Have you ever had one of those days?
Where you wake up and everything just feels wrong?
As if you’re internal body is spinning,
Ever so slightly,
Out of kilter,
With the pull,
Of the earth’s axis?
And you wonder why all the fuss about Holland?
When you are no longer even sure,
That you’re living on the same planet?
This sensation of alienation,
Grows,
As you pass yourself,
Within your own day,
Watching it slowly disintegrate,
Into an endlessly,
Badly dubbed,
Movie.
Where lips move,
But the shapes they make,
Don’t match the words,
You’re hearing?
And your mind explodes like a multi-sensory bomb,
With neurons firing in all directions,
Just trying to keep up,
With the awful sense of disconnect,
That splinters apart,
And renders incomprehensible,
The familiar sights and sounds,
That would normally,
Make up your day.
Welcome to Asperger’s Syndrome.

So very very true
Thank you Alastair for letting me know that I’m not the only one who feels at times so out of sync with life.
I have had way too many of these days. Lovely post & I love the picture at the top!
Glad/sad I’m not the only one. Thank you for your kind words
